Lookit what I got! I actually received the award for a post I wrote over two years ago about Japanese garbage collection and disposal, oddly enough. It wasn't even a post with photos.
I was shocked, and surprised, and all-out-of-proportion excited to receive this award...and grateful. Very grateful.

Yay, Carolie -- this is great! I read that post and was as impressed with your writing skill as I was with the fact that we shared opinions on the Japanese trash recycling system. All the time I lived in Japan, I mainly heard griping and moaning from my fellow American expatriates, so you can imagine how nice it was to find someoen who thought it was a great way of doing things.
